Wedged Vista Ultimate tight after initial install, but worked fine
after poweroff reboot.

Carbonite, Vista Reloaded

I know many of you have been wondering to yourself "What is Carl doing when he's not seeking to further his non-secret plan for world domination by writing trenchant commentary on the ideals of freedom and individualism?" Please pardon me if this rambles a it.

Blogging here with Windows Live Writer

The blog tool I like best for being simple and free and full-featured is Windows Live Writer http://get.live.com/writer/overview. (You may have to overcome your revulsion for the fact that it comes from Microsoft) It's an offline composer that gives you a quite rich and easy to use HTML/Web editing environment. Needed these on the "go" side:
relayhost = mail.example.net
smtp_sasl_auth_enable = yes
smtp_sasl_password_maps = hash:${config_directory}/smtp_sasl_passwd
smtp_sasl_security_options =

I had good rapport with the guy who'd probably become my boss (they have 2 equivalent positions open). They don't expect to make a decision/offer until the first of the year. The job there is a "Sr. Manager, R&D" - very much in line with my career history and experience and comfort zone. It's a solid job,
