Marty was killed in a motorcycle wreck on a public road in late September, 2003. He was not a wealthy man. He was not any more well-prepared than most of us to die at age 40. In addition to many friends and relatives and fine memories, he left behind debts and a wife and two children. His friends have set up a benevolent account for the benfit of Maura and Alexa and Griff at Boeing Employees' Credit Union. The best way for you to contribute is directly by contacting the credit union at

For those who would like to contribute "if only I could do it online", Carl Paukstis of WetLeather is collecting contributions via PayPal. This is only for your convenience. Carl will simply write a personal check for all funds collected via this channel, unfortunately net after PayPal's assorted charges and fees, and send it to the BECU fund described above. With PayPal, only Business or Premier accounts can accept credit card payments. For Business and Premier accounts receiving any form of payment costs a fixed fee plus a percentage (currently $0.30 plus 2.9% or $0.59 on a $10 payment or $3.20 on $100), for every transaction. Your contribution will go farther in the right direction if you do NOT use credit cards with PayPal - look to the center option below. |
