On Surgery, Friends, and Holidays

I have spent more time in Seattle (and on Vashon) these past few months than I have in the past couple of years. That's partly a longing to spend time with friends in the PNW, but mostly a need to lend a hand with Mark's surgery and travels. I started to write a fairly detailed account of our travels and non-adventures, but it was incredibly boring. Aside from the stress of Surgery Day, the charm of visiting with Wendy on Vashon for several days, and the beauty of some of the scenery along the standard freeway route between Escondido and Seattle, there really wasn't much going on.

We did arrive home to find the Goldings settled in and already cooking. Oodles of poodles, good food, and our own bed. Life isn't all that bad for the moment.
