I'd visualize allowing all Power Users (you subscribers here) to create whatever smallish text blurbs, allow links to pix or dedicated pages elsewhere. People could advertise services as well, of course. Create your own categories/tags? Hmmm. What do I remember about writing Drupal modules?
I voted "Waste of Carl's Time" because I prefer the more conversational approach of just sending this stuff to the list as we've always done. Plus, I read the list regularly but seldom visit the drupal site -- so I'm much more likely to miss something interesting if it's posted to the site rather than sent to the list.
