Actually, it began yesterday, Wednesday, when I rolled the motorhome out of the back-yard parking/storage space and around in the front where we prep and load and stuff. Started de-winterizing and looking over systems. Propane loos OK. Water heater lights. Oops, little to zero water pressure from the onboard pump. Must be clogged filter. Cleaned the filter, no, that's not it. Very little water coming through the hose from tank to filter. Hmmm, there must be another screen filter inside the tank. No obvious way to get at it. Looking at the half-empty tank - there's some black splotches on the inside of the end walls that I hadn't seen before. Yuck. Must be mold/algae/slime. Time to pour in some Clorox and go through the "sanitize water system drill".
It turns out that the hose from the tank to the pump is the same size as the fitting on my filler tool. So I can back-flush the tank filter with hose water. Yay! I'm all wet. That back-flush cleared out whatever it was and now there's a nice flow to the filter before the pump. 2 cups Clorox to 55 gallons of fresh water, let sit overnight.
Wednesday morning: start the water tank draining via the gravity drain. Not a great stream - I'll bet that one's got an internal screen that's getting clogged, too. But it's much harder to take apart to back-flush, so leave it for now. Do some other chores while waiting for the Clorox-water to drain half way. Check the tire pressures - nicely uniform, need to add around 4psi to each of the rears to bring them up to full 80, and reduce each fron by 3-4psi to get them down to 70. Top up the batteries. Coach battery is a mess to work on, since it sits behind the right rear tire without an enclosed compartment, so it's always dirty and road-dusty. Both batteries were low - not using the coach in almost a year doesn't help that.
Close the drains with half a tank of Clorox water, load up to boy dogs and go for a drive to slosh it around. A little shake in the steering wheel at 50mph. Well, while I'm out, I might as well go by Les Schwab and let them balance the tires, since it's free (included in the price of the tires). That killed an hour, but took the shake out.
Most of the afternoon was filling and flushing, fiddling and tinkering with motorhome bits.
