|Ingredients:||1-1/2 c water
1-1/2 c sugar
2 pkg (approx 16 oz) Blueberries (or blackberries, etc.)
2 tsp lemon juice
4 Tbsp cornstarch
|Preparation:||Put sugar and water in saucepan, heat til sugar dissolves. Add fruit & lemon juice. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water. Add to syrup. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens. Freeze.
This turns out really thick. Great for the pancakes, above.
For breakfast pull some of this out and defrost. You can refreeze later if you need to.
