2 Tbsp sugar
1/4 c milk
1 Tbsp melted butter
sugar and cinnamon
|Preparation:||Preheat oven to 425F.
Beat egg with milk. Add remaining ingredients, stir 'til just blended.
Turn onto floured waxed paper and knead 20 times. Pat into a greased, 8 inch layer pan.
brush with 1 Tbsp melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon to taste.
Bake at 425F for 15 minutes.
Quarter scone, or bake smaller ones. Split scones, top the bottom with sweetened strawberries, the top of the scone, more strawberries, and whipped or whipping cream.
