|Ingredients:||1/4 c packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp olive oil
3/4 c walnuts
|Preparation:||Put sugar, vinegar and oil in a pan, mix over medium heat until it bubbles.
Add in nuts, and stir around until covered and kinda toasted. Turn it out onto a non-stick surface and seperate. Let cool. Will store quite well.
We started out with a salad. Mixed greens with candied walnuts, crumbled gorgonzola cheese and pear slices.
|Notes:||Well, my dear father, Bill (da Pope, I do believe) had a Christmas wish come true - he got to come to my house and have a lovely Christmas dinner prepared for him. And he got to sit around, eat, go to LoTR and watch DVDs at home.
He hinted strongly that I should share some of the recipes I made, since they all worked out so well. So here I am.
