|Ingredients:||2 cups of white flour
~2 t baking soda (double-acting)
1/3 C? suet
2T olive oil
|Preparation:||Suet: beef fat from some ribs I made, actually), chilled and shaved off with a knife, then any big bits crushed with forks.
Poured in and stirred olive oil
Added milk until it came together into a loose dough that would hold together.
Formed into lumps and baked until golden brown.
|Notes:||I'd have tossed in some wheat germ (half cup?), but I'm out. I like the nuttiness.|
