Ingredients:1 lb beef, cubed
2 C black beans, soaked overnight or boiled 5 mins and soaked 1 hr
1 large chopped onion
5 red jalapenos, chopped
1 T chili powder
1 T cumin
1 t paprika
1 t grains of paradise
1/2 t cayenne
1/4-1/2 C blackstrap molasses, to taste
Preparation:Sear the meat and then dump in the onions to cook in the meat grease
Add the beans & their water, the spices and peppers and molasses
Bring to boil and simmer until the meat and beans are both tender.
Notes:To make it blacker, cook it in a cast-iron pot like I do... ;)
